Management of technical assistance efforts for the Innovations in Community Based Crime Reduction program (CBCR, previously BCJI), a federal initiative funding crime reduction strategies for high-crime neighborhoods.  Program has over seventy sites in six cohorts, with awards totaling over $55 million.  Activities include;

  • Develop program framework and strategic approaches for equitable, collaborative, research-informed program to support sustainable crime reduction
  • Integrate community-informed development into safety initiatives
  • Identify and manage consultants and strategic relationships
  • Develop training strategies and tools for project partners including researchers, police, project staff, community partners and residents
  • Work with national and local LISC offices to improve safety outcomes in challenged communities
